Hi! I’m Ken Allen, a full-time freelance violist based in the Boston area. Playing the viola is my way of helping to create more harmony in the world through music, particularly chamber and orchestral music.

Concert Performance
I love playing early music as much as new music (as well as most music in between) and have many years of experience performing with a wide variety of ensembles, small and large.
Viola Lessons
I maintain a small private studio in Cambridge and currently have openings for new students. I've worked with beginning students and advanced students, young students and adult students, and believe that it is never too late to begin learning how to play.
